Richard Andrew Twiddy, 80, of Manns Harbor, NC died Friday, January 7, 2022, at his home.

Born in Creswell, NC on March 27, 1941, he was the son of the late Patsy Ward Twiddy and Jesse Seton Twiddy, Sr.

Richard retired from Dare County Public Works Department.

He is survived by his wife, Myra Gard Twiddy; daughter, Yvonne Twiddy; sons, Niles Twiddy (Margie), Stanley Twiddy (Glenda), Calvin Twiddy (Kimmers), and Derl Twiddy; grandchildren, Judson (Amy), Ashley, Sammy, Andy, Conner, Caitlin, Nick, Anthony, Mark, Joseph, Houston, Shelby, Elijah, Carley, Cameron, and Charlie; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Aiden, Bella, Junior, Stella, and Lily. Also, surviving is his brother, Irdell Twiddy and his wife, Rachel.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by a daughter, Nova Lea Twiddy.

A memorial service will be held in the future.
