Ronald Thomas Sumrell, 75, of Kill Devil Hills, NC died Friday, December 25, 2020, at his home.
Born in Lenoir County, NC, he was the son of the late Lillian Monroe Sumrell and Robert Henry Sumrell.
Upon graduation from Grainger High School in Kinston, NC, Ron served his country honorably in the United States Army and the National Guard during the Vietnam War.
He worked at Roadside Bar and Grill in Duck, NC. An avid snow skier, he also loved to swim in the ocean.
Ron is survived by his sister, Bobbie Sumrell Allen and husband Elwood of Faison, NC, and a niece, Christy Allen of Clinton, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Michael Craig Allen.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service at this time.
