Twiford Funeral Homes, along with Veterans Funeral Care Network, were proud to sponsor “Operation Toy Solider” for the 3rd consecutive holiday season. This nationwide initiative is designed to provide toys to the children of deployed and non-deployed soldiers in our area.
We would like to extend our most sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone throughout Dare, Currituck, Pasquotank and Perquimans County who supported our 2015 Operation Toy Soldier campaign. Because of you, we were able to donate over 9 barrels full of toys to local military children, making this year’s contribution much larger than the last! We would also like to express our thanks to the following businesses who allowed us to place a barrel within their location:
- Holy Redeemer by the Sea Catholic Church, Kitty Hawk
- Henry’s Restaurant, Kill Devil Hills
- Kmart, Kill Devil Hills
- Walgreens, Elizabeth City
- Roses, Elizabeth City
- Albemarle Lanes Bowling Center, Elizabeth City
- Berea Baptist Church, Elizabeth City
- American Legion Post 126, Hertford
- Manteo Middle School’s National Junior Honor Society *This amazing group of 8th graders encouraged their entire school to donate toys in support of Operation Toy Soldier!*
