I am so sad about Bill’s passing. I have known him for years, back in the days of Shadowlawn in Va Beach. His wife, Mel, caught the bouquet during my wedding. He was a very kind man. When I would see him in the bank, we always had a nice chat. RIP Bill Barbour. My condolences to Mel.

Oh Mel, Bobby and I are so sad to hear about Billy passing. Bobby is just crushed, he talks about growing up with him in Shadowlawn regularly . One of my fondest memories is the bachelorette party you threw for me and the boys showing up when it was over. Please don’t hesitate to call us if you need anything. We are sending you lots of love and hugs

Condolence from Terry Jennings and family on July 24th, 2020 10:51 am

Our family is very heartbroken to hear of this loss. I had known Bill for many years as a wonderful friend and have many fond memories of hanging out with him and Mel when they lived in Shadowlawn. He was a nice, fun loving guy who enjoyed fishing and being with his friends. He would make up nicknames for them, and mine was Crabpappy, which I’m still called today. He was a kindhearted and helpful friend, and he will leave a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Our hearts go out to you Mel, and to all of Bill’s loved ones. May you know God’s peace and comfort during this sad and difficult time.
